Dr. Núria Costa received her Telecommunication Engineering Degree (2012) and her Ph.D cum laude in post-quantum cryptography (2021) from the Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya. After one year working with the research group MAK at the university (2011), receives the Turing award for her research. Then, she works two years as a Java developer, obtains the Java SE 6 certification and continues her cryptographic research at Scytl Election Technologies, applying her knowledge to electronic voting. She contributes to the design of electronic voting systems as well as to their security analysis and participates in publicly funded innovation projects such as H2020 PROMEHTEUS where she applies the results on post-quantum cryptography found as part of her PhD.
She currently works at Universitat Pompeu Fabra (UPF) as a postdoctoral research fellow in the project Artemisa, which aims to promote the creation and use of techniques and tools necessary to understand and face the challenges of digital security, as well as to promote the active participation of women and their empowerment in the field of cybersecurity.
