The Department of Education will promote the enrollment of women in professional development courses linked to the industrial sector, through tuition discounts. It will be in Higher Education, and enrolled women will have a 50% discount on the public price.

The Official Gazette of the Generalitat of Catalonia (Dogc) has published a report in which it refers to specific actions to promote the presence of students in certain specialties. Specifically, the call is now open for the creation of public prices for students of subjects such as Renewable Energy, Telecommunications and Computer Systems, Mechanical Manufacturing Design, etc.

This is the first time that the Department of Education has launched specific positive actions to encourage the presence of students in certain specialties. The main objective of this discount is to reverse the low enrollment demand in some courses, address the qualification needs not covered by the industrial sector and stimulate women’s interest in industrial studies.
