ABOUT ME

She graduated in Veterinary Medicine in 2009 and after a period abroad perfecting her English, she returned to her hometown to work as a veterinarian in a small animal clinic. She soon discovered that this was not the path for her and she returned to Madrid to pursue a Master’s Degree in Research. This training opened the doors to a doctorate, which culminated a few years later with an Outstanding Cum Laude after much effort and determination.

She did a predoctoral stay in the USA, particularly at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville and almost stayed there to do the postdoctoral stage but she once again turned her life around. She completed another Master’s degree, this time in Veterinary Clinical Trials and jumped to the Spanish Medicines Agency, which is where she is now. Specifically, she works in the Preclinical and Clinical Area of the Department of Veterinary Medicines, and her activities focus on evaluating dossiers for the authorization of medicines at the national or European level. She is part of the nanomedicine expert group of the European Medicines Agency and they are developing a specific guideline in this regard.
