She is a civil engineer, with a master’s degree in structural engineering, and a doctor in civil engineering. Assistant professor at the National University of Colombia. She has more than 15 years of experience in construction materials research, with an emphasis on sustainable materials such as guadua-bamboo, wood and composites reinforced with natural fibers. Additionally, she has participated in the formulation of research and extension projects on topics related to the infrastructure and construction sector, focused on the use of sustainable materials. She is also a consultant on projects related to structural design, pathology and construction of structures that use sustainable materials. Finally, it should be noted that she is a founding member of the International Bamboo and Guadua Society-SIBGUADUA.alent through initiatives and collaborative training that she teaches from the Más Mujeres Institute.
