The Geek Girls Portugal (G2PT) community was born in 2010 under the name Portugal Girl Geek Dinners and is the first Portuguese community created to raise awareness and bring together women in the technology field through regular meetings.
As of September 2016, it adopts the new name Geek Girls Portugal and a new logo to broaden and better represent a broader mission.
The new mission focuses on engaging, inspiring and empowering women, through meetings and workshops, awareness sessions in schools to inspire young women, and mentoring to support the development and professional progression of women in technology.
