STEM WOMEN CONGRESS MADRID 2024
Success of the STEM WOMEN CONGRESS in its second edition in Madrid
On May 9, we celebrated the second edition of the STEM WOMEN CONGRESS in Madrid, an event that has reaffirmed itself as a benchmark for promoting gender equality in the STEM sectors. With prominent participation and the presence of influencers such as Helia Sharif, an aerospace engineer at Thales Alenia Space, and representatives from companies committed to diversity, such as Abertis, TMB, Page Group, and CaixaBank Tech, the event stood out for its quality and relevance.
SWC Annual Report
The SWC is not only consolidated in Spain with its editions in Madrid and Barcelona, but it is also continuing its international expansion with events scheduled in Milan, Bogotá, Montreal, and Lisbon throughout the year. In addition, the organization has received national and international recognition, including the selection of Eva Díaz, CEO of the STEM Women Congress, as a finalist in the “Women Changing the World Global Awards.”
During the conference, the SWC Annual Report 2024 was presented, revealing a 34% increase in STEM initiatives and greater male participation as change agents. The STEM WOMEN CONGRESS AWARDS ceremony was also held, where Kyndryl was recognized for its work in closing the gender gap in STEM.
The event also served as a platform to launch the STEM Tour, an initiative aimed at bringing STEM programs to rural schools with less access to these opportunities. In addition, the SWC announced its international expansion with events in Milan, Bogotá, Montreal, and Lisbon.
